I am so glad I bought it! While, yes, they did use white thread, you really have to be looking closely to notice it. And the stitching has held up well. Even with four large dogs jumping on and off the bed, the bedspread has not snagged anywhere. Also, the weight is perfect for spring/summer in VA. And every time I sit on the bed I think "Rats, there's another stitching flaw." It's a shame that some company had the smarts to take such lovely fabric and make it into a nicely-weighted bedspread, but then threw care to the wind and contracted out the sewing job to some devil-may-care stitching factory... which happens to be in China. We love the looks and the warmth. Without being bulky or requiring more blankets, this alone kept us snug this winter. Size-wise, we have a queen and got the queen, not having to play the "size up to get more coverage on the sides" game. In fact, we actually have too much fabric at the bottom of the bed, but we don't mind, and the cats like to sleep on it under the bed.
