I was pleasantly surprised. Although light weight, they are still heavy enough to stay flat. Excellent length for each. Easy to wash, well made items. I'm keeping my eye out for another sale and plan to pick up a couple more. Excellent value - nice spread. I love matelasse and have been looking at spreads in the $100 to $150 range. I stumbled onto this one, and it was only $12.00! Okay, it's polyester not imported cotton, but with 2 dogs and 3 cats who all sleep with us, this spread should be easy to wash and I don't have to worry about it. Did I mention it's beautiful. Looks just like the expensive ones. Today, this spread is $39.00 but even at that price you can't go wrong. Heck, use the fabric to make pillows, cover dining chairs, make window treatments. I'm buying another one I love it so much. I bought a king size in Ivory and the color is more of an antique tanish color. It has kind of an old world feel and when you tuck in the sides it gives it a cleaner contemporary look. I haven't washed it yet, but expect it will come out fine. Truly, this bedspread is a great look and a wonderful value. I re-checked listing to be sure I had not overlooked what kind of fabric it was made of; and I had not missed it............no information as to what kind of fabric was given! It was polyester and I was expecting cotton, since I have a "vintage woven Matelasse bedspread" which is 100% cotton, and made in U.S.A. At least, Amazon's return policy is good; thank you, Amazon, for that! |
